  1. Wikipedia under AI Assault???

  3. Elon Musk unveils Optimus robots.

Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia, is facing a big problem because of fake information created by AI. Some users are adding this false content to articles, which has led to a large cleanup effort. Editors noticed that some writing sounded like it came from chatbots. Because of this, they started a project called WikiProject AI Cleanup to remove the fake AI content.

One example is a made-up story about an Ottoman fortress called "Amberlisihar," which never existed. The article seemed real because it included some true details, making it harder to spot the lie. The problem doesn’t stop there. Some people are also adding false data to real articles. They mix true facts with unrelated information, making the articles confusing.

This issue is happening because Wikipedia lets anyone edit its pages, and some people are using AI tools in the wrong way, spreading false information. Volunteers are working hard to clean it up.

Amazon is adding new AI-powered technology to its delivery vans to help drivers pick the right packages more easily. The system, called Vision-Assisted Package Retrieval (VAPR), uses colored lights to guide drivers. A green circle means the package is for the current stop, while a red light means it's for another stop. There’s also a sound to alert drivers if they’ve picked the wrong package.

This technology will make delivery faster by reducing the need for drivers to search for packages or use handheld devices. Amazon started working on VAPR in 2020, and it will be in 1,000 electric vans by 2025. The system has been tested in cities like Boston, where it helped drivers save time, cutting down stop times to under a minute.

On Thursday, Elon Musk revealed Tesla's new robot called "Optimus" at “We, Robot“ event in Los Angeles. Standing 5'8" tall, Musk described the robot as "your own personal R2D2 or C-3PO." The robots danced, served drinks, and even played games like rock, paper, scissors during the show.

Optimus is designed to help with tasks like mowing the lawn, cleaning the kitchen, babysitting, or just being a companion. Tesla plans to sell the robots for $20,000 to $30,000, which is less than the price of a car. Musk mentioned that they could be available for purchase as early as 2025.

However, some experts believe it may take longer. Dev Nag, the CEO of an AI company, says it might take at least five more years before these robots are ready for everyday use. There are still challenges, like walking on uneven surfaces and navigating safely around people and pets.
