OpenAI has rolled out a new voice feature for ChatGPT, giving premium users the ability to have more natural, flowing conversations. This update lets you talk to ChatGPT like you would with a person, and it can even pause if you interrupt. Right now, it’s being released gradually and isn’t available in a few countries like the UK or some European areas yet. The voice feature offers nine different voices to choose from, and you can even tweak how ChatGPT sounds, like asking it to speak faster or with an accent. To get started, just update your app and follow the prompts when you see the notification. This voice option makes using ChatGPT more interactive—whether you're practicing a language, preparing for an interview, or just chatting. Keep in mind, there’s a daily time limit for the voice mode, but you can still switch to the regular version afterward. It’s a fun way to engage, and OpenAI is staying ahead of the competition as other companies like Google and Meta also launch their own voice features.
Google has released two new versions of its Gemini AI models, making them faster and more affordable for developers. These models, called Gemini-1.5-Pro-002 and Gemini-1.5-Flash-002, promise double the speed and three times less delay compared to the previous versions, which is great for tasks like writing code, processing text, or working with different types of media. One of the main highlights is a 50% price drop for developers, along with improvements in math tasks, visual understanding, and generating code. Google also shortened the length of some responses, so the models now reply faster while still keeping the quality. If you're working with large documents or long videos, the Pro version is especially handy. Plus, Google has made it easier to use these models with tools like Google AI Studio, while also improving privacy filters to keep things safe. Overall, Google is making Gemini a powerful and more accessible tool for AI development.

Meta recently introduced its new Orion augmented-reality glasses, and they are all about being light and comfortable. It was recalled at how easy they were to wear compared to heavier VR headsets like Meta Quest or Apple’s Vision Pro. These glasses don’t take you into a full virtual world like VR, but they add digital images to what you see around you. You can play games like digital chess or use apps like Instagram and Facebook, all while still seeing the real world. Even though they look a bit bulky, they feel like wearing regular glasses. The glasses work with a wristband that senses your hand movements, so you can control the digital icons without touching anything. Overall, these glasses give you a glimpse of Meta’s big plans for AR, and they will likely get smaller and even more advanced over time.
Google has made some great updates to its AI note-taking tool, NotebookLM. Originally designed for educators and students, it’s now becoming popular with professionals too. The new features allow you to summarize YouTube videos and audio files, making it easier to capture key points from different types of content. One of its amazing addition is the option to create and share audio summaries using a public link. This means you can easily share audio discussions or summaries with others, whether it’s from a presentation, resume, or even a project. NotebookLM continues to support documents like Google Docs, PDFs, and web pages, but now you can use audio and video sources as well. Google says it’s working on more features based on user feedback, with a focus on helping people across different industries. NotebookLM is available globally, and while it’s mostly used in the U.S., Japan is quickly becoming another big market.
