OpenAI is reportedly looking into creating a web browser that would work hand-in-hand with ChatGPT. More like having a browser powered by AI that not only answers your questions but also provides accurate, real-time information with sources included. They are also planning to team up with eCommerce sites and apps, which could make ChatGPT even smarter when it comes to helping with online shopping or market-related questions. Recently, OpenAI rolled out a feature allowing ChatGPT to search the web for updates like stock prices or weather forecasts. This could seriously rival traditional search engines, offering quick, direct answers instead of endless scrolling through links. Also, they have partnered with Hearst, so ChatGPT users can now access content from popular magazines and newspapers, complete with proper citations. With 250 million weekly users and growing corporate interest, OpenAI seems ready to reshape how we search, shop, and interact online.

Apple is completely rethinking Siri development. The company is working on a new version, powered by advanced AI, to make Siri more conversational and better at handling complex questions, similar to tools like ChatGPT. They are calling it “LLM Siri” internally, and it’s being tested on iPhones, iPads, and Macs as a standalone app. The plan is to eventually roll it out with future iOS and macOS updates, with a public launch expected around 2025 or 2026. This upgraded Siri will use new AI models to interact more naturally with users, manage third-party apps more effectively, and even help with tasks like writing and summarizing text. While there are no major changes coming immediately, Apple is gradually improving Siri’s interface and ability to understand users better. It’s clear Apple wants Siri to keep up with today’s AI standards—all while keeping user privacy a top priority.

YouTube has rolled out a new feature called Dream Screen, and it’s an interesting way to edit your Shorts. How it works it that you type in a prompt, and the AI creates a background image or video for you. You can even pick a style to match your idea. Once it’s ready, you can use it as your background and get creative with your video. For now, Dream Screen is available in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. To try it, open the YouTube app, hit “Create,” tap on Dream Screen, and select the pink sparkle icon. From there, just type your prompt in English, and the AI will give you a few options to choose from. YouTube has safeguards to block inappropriate prompts and reminds users that the AI isn’t perfect, so expect occasional hiccups. Regardless of that, it’s an interesting way to experiment with your Shorts content!

Anthropic just made Claude AI more practical by letting it work with Google Docs. If you are on Claude Pro or Claude for Work, you can now upload your Google Docs into a chat or project to give it more context. This means you can ask Claude to summarize the document, pull out key details, or answer questions about the content. To get started, click the paperclip icon in the chat, select the Google Drive option, log in to your account (if it’s your first time), and choose your document. You can even add multiple files at once. That’s not all, Claude syncs directly with Google Drive, so it always works with the latest version of your document. It is important to note though, that it only processes text—no images, comments, or suggestions, and you will need permission to access the files. If you lose access, the conversation stays, but the document won’t.
