Apple Intelligence is about to speak more languages! Starting this April, Apple’s AI will support French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. On top of that, English versions tailored for users in India and Singapore are on the way. When Apple Intelligence first launched, it only worked in U.S. English. Then, in December, Apple added support for English speakers in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K. Now, they are expanding even more. If you are wondering about the EU or Mainland China, Apple hasn’t shared any updates yet. Another thing to look forward to is Siri getting smarter. Soon, it will be able to understand what’s happening on your screen and respond accordingly. No exact date yet, but it’s coming in the next few months.

Microsoft is making an interesting move, despite concerns that DeepSeek may have misused OpenAI’s services, it is still bringing DeepSeek’s AI model, R1, onto its cloud platform. R1, which is being called a “reasoning model,” is now available on Microsoft’s Azure AI Foundry. Microsoft says it has gone through strict security and safety checks, and soon, lighter versions of R1 will even run on Copilot+ PCs. Microsoft reportedly investigated DeepSeek last year for possibly taking large amounts of data from OpenAI using its API. Given that Microsoft is OpenAI’s biggest investor, this situation is a bit awkward. Still, R1 is getting a lot of attention, and Microsoft seems eager to have it on board.

Riffusion is shaking up the music scene with its new AI-powered platform, and it is free to use! This San Francisco-based startup just launched a web tool that lets users create original music using its AI model, Fuzz. Whether you type in a description, upload an audio clip, or even use a visual prompt, Fuzz can generate full songs and it gets better over time by learning your musical tastes. The idea isn’t to replace musicians but to act as a creative partner, making music production more accessible to everyone. From casual music lovers to professionals, the platform has been getting praise, even from industry names like Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers. With big players like Google and Meta diving into AI music, Riffusion is making a bold move by keeping its tool free.

DeepSeek did something major in the AI Industry, it recently just surpassed ChatGPT to become the No. 1 free app on iOS in the U.S. and 51 other countries. In just a few days, its mobile app downloads doubled, jumping from 1 million to 2.6 million across the App Store and Google Play. DeepSeek recently released a set of AI models that rival big names like OpenAI and Google. What’s surprising is that these models were trained at a fraction of the cost using lower-end AI chips. That efficiency shook up the industry so much that Nvidia’s stock price took a hit. DeepSeek’s numbers are staggering 80% of its total downloads happened in just the past week, and it’s now crushing competitors like Perplexity with nearly 300% more downloads. The AI race is heating up, and DeepSeek just made itself impossible to ignore.
