Spotify just launched its own creative agency, Creative Lab, to help brands make unique ads. This means they are trying to get more companies to advertise on Spotify. This is a big deal because with over 615 million listeners, it's a huge audience for brands to reach. Also, Spotify is trying out new AI ads to make things even more interesting. There's also a new tool called "Quick Audio" coming soon, which will help brands make ads easier. Working with Creative Lab, brands can create all kinds of ads, from videos to interactive contents like call-to-action cards. Each ad is made just for that brand, so it is personalized. They have already worked with big names like Rockstar Energy Drink and Aperol.
Apple's WWDC 2024 event had some big news! They introduced Apple Intelligence and made Siri smarter. Now, on iPhones with iOS 18, you can search for things in apps using everyday language. Also, there's a new way to protect your privacy when apps ask for your contacts. The Apple Watch is getting some interesting features too. And guess what? Apple took some ideas from other apps and made them their own, just like they have done before. They are also doing something different with their AI, focusing on practical elements rather than overwhelming users. Messages now let you schedule texts and work better with Android phones. Also, the App Store is getting better for developers, with new ways to make money. iOS 18 has lots of customization options and new messaging features. If you have the latest devices, you'll get to try out Apple Intelligence, which have shown to personalize your experience while keeping your info safe. Apple TV+ also has a new feature called InSight. Undoubtedly, this is an exciting time for Apple users.

If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation.

In a tweet earlier this week, Elon Musk made it clear that if Apple teams up with OpenAI for its operating system, he won't allow Apple gadgets in his companies, including Tesla. Musk's worry is about security, seeing this move as risky. He even said visitors would have to stash their Apple devices in Faraday cages to block signals. This all came after Apple's big reveal about their new AI, Apple Intelligence, and their plan to use OpenAI's ChatGPT in features like an upgraded Siri. Elon's stand is firm, but Apple is going ahead anyway, offering the ChatGPT integration for free later this year on iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia.

Luma AI unveils AI video tech, Dream Machine! This browser tool is open to all, and it's free. Just type in some text, and voila! In two minutes, you have got a video clip that looks excellent. Early tests show it's doing a solid job. Characters move smoothly and actually seem to feel something – a big improvement over earlier attempts. It is not perfect yet. Sometimes scenes glitch, movements look odd, and text gets jumbled. Luma AI's have big plans, too. They are considering integrating APIs and plugins for creative software. While AI videos are still not mainstream, Dream Machine is a step in the right direction for making them more watchable and maybe even useful someday.

TIP OF THE WEEK
Use your voice in Google Docs
We bet you already use your phone’s speech-to-text to dictate text messages or even emails, but did you know you can do the same in Google Docs? It’s free and it works surprisingly well.
Open a new document in Google Docs, then enable Voice Typing from the Tools menu. Then start dictating. Voice Typing recognizes commands like “comma,” “period,” and “new paragraph” as well.
