Meta Upgrade Voice Powered AI with Llama 4
Tencent Unveils Open-source Image-to-video AI Model
DuckDuckGo’s AI Chat Finally Launches
Google Introduces New ‘AI Mode’ for Search

Meta is working on Llama 4, an upgraded version of its AI model, with a focus on better voice interactions. It is like having a conversation with an AI that feels way more natural and responsive. But that’s not all, Meta AI might be getting a paid subscription model. They are testing ways to offer extra features, like booking reservations, and even experimenting with ads in AI-generated responses. Imagine searching for something through Meta AI and seeing sponsored recommendations pop up. These updates show that Meta is serious about leading the AI space. They are not just improving the tech; they are figuring out new ways to make money from it too. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out, especially for businesses and users who rely on AI for everyday tasks.

Tencent is shaking things up again in the AI space. This time, they have introduced an open-source model that can turn a single image into a short five-second video. It is like taking a still picture and bringing it to life—that’s exactly what this tech can do. But this isn’t their first step into AI-powered video. A while back, they launched HunyuanVideo, a text-to-video model that creates high-quality videos from simple text descriptions. Now, they are taking things further by giving developers and creators free access to this new image-to-video model. It is not just about fancy AI tricks, this could change how we create videos, whether for content, marketing, or storytelling. And since it’s open-source, expect some interesting innovations from the AI community.

DuckDuckGo is improving it’s AI-powered search and chat features, all while sticking to its core promise, privacy first. Now, when you search on DuckDuckGo, you’ll see AI-generated answers pulled from across the web, not just Wikipedia. The good thing is that you get to control how often AI responses show up, and if you are not a fan, you can turn them off completely. They are also introducing Duck.ai, a chatbot that lets you ask questions anonymously. It saves recent chats locally on your device (not on their servers), and they are working on adding features like web search integration, voice commands, and image-based queries. For now, all these AI tools are free, but DuckDuckGo might introduce premium options in the future. Everything stays in one app, making it easier to search privately without switching platforms.

Google just introduced a new feature in Search that delivers AI-generated answers instead of the usual list of links. Powered by Gemini 2.0, this upgrade is designed to handle complex questions, from coding challenges to tricky math problems. Right now, AI Mode is still in testing and available only to Google One AI Premium subscribers in the U.S. If you are one of them, you will find it in a new tab in the Google app. Instead of just links, you’ll get direct AI-generated responses—though Google is still including source links and shopping recommendations. Beyond that, Google is also expanding AI Overviews, meaning more people will start seeing AI-generated summaries at the top of search results, even without signing in. It’s a big move toward AI-driven search.
