Google is warming up to launch Gemini AI on Android phones, starting with Gmail's email summarization feature. This was discovered after a user digged into the app's code, revealing a fully functional but hidden gem awaiting a public rollout, possibly at Google's upcoming event in May 2024. Gemini will allow users to summarize emails with a simple tap, easing the burden of lengthy messages. Feedback options are also in place to enhance AI performance. However, past hurdles like image generation biases have led to cautious testing, with Google committed to refining Gemini to avoid any embarrassments. We will keep you updated as Gemini evolves to serve users seamlessly across various Google apps.

Elon Musk sparked up alot of conversation this week leveraging the unused computing power in Tesla vehicles, likening it to Amazon's cloud service, AWS. He envisions tapping into this untapped resource during idle moments to run AI models, potentially distributed globally. While this concept is intriguing, questions arise about compensation and feasibility. Would Tesla pay for this service? The answer remains uncertain. However, exploring this idea requires careful consideration. Experts note challenges such as power source reliance and connectivity issues, particularly for electric vehicles. While the concept of distributed computing is feasible, its practical implementation raises critical questions about energy costs and efficiency. As Elon continues to innovate, the utilization of Tesla's compute power remains an evolving narrative.
